May Day International Labor Day, also known as International Labor Day and Labor Day, is the Labor Day of most countries in the world. The festival originated from the strike of workers in Chicago, USA, to commemorate this great worker movement. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Central People's Government Administration Office designated May 1st as the statutory Labor Day in December 1949, and the national holiday was one day. On this day of the year, the whole country celebrates, people put on the festive costumes, gather in parks, theaters, plazas, participate in various celebrations or cultural and recreational activities, and commend the workers who have made outstanding contributions. On March 22, 2019, the General Office of the State Council adjusted the 2019 Labor Day holiday arrangement, and the holiday was suspended from May 1st to 4th, 2019, for a total of 4 days.
