Technical Principles

 

Spiral Interlocking Structure

Spiral steel silos are manufactured using specialized equipment that continuously rolls steel sheets to form spiral reinforcing ribs 30–40 mm wide. These ribs are approximately five times thicker than the base material, significantly enhancing the overall load-bearing capacity.

The thickness at the spiral seams is approximately five times that of the original steel plate, forming vertical and circumferential stiffeners that provide excellent resistance to seismic, wind, and snow loads. The spiral steel silo features no welds or bolt holes, ensuring excellent structural integrity and resistance to deformation and leakage.

Excellent Airtightness

With continuous mechanical interlocking seams and an air leakage rate of ≤0.1%, these silos meet the requirements for grain fumigation and storage with inert gases, ensuring effective pest control and sterilization.

On-site mechanical rolling allows a single silo (≤5,000 tons) to be completed in just 7–15 days-5–8 times faster than concrete silos.
